It's nice to meet you! My name is Malia — and I'm honored to have started as Team Bowman's Digital Director.
As the campaign's Digital Director, it is my job to uplift Jamaal's message and Team Bowman's collective voice. I'm excited to be in this work with you to not only keep Jamaal in Congress, but also to continue pushing for the progressive values we've been fighting so hard to achieve.
I'm also excited to be here because of the movement that we're building together. Jamaal understands better than anyone the dual importance of bringing immediate solutions to the issues that our communities face today and continuing to push for long-standing change that will transform our nation into one that works for us all.
The work that we're doing together requires a lot of resources and investments to make happen — which is why we've set a goal to raise $15,000 by the end of the month, so we can carry out our plans to their fullest.
One of my favorite things about Team Bowman is that we do things differently from most campaigns. This entire movement is funded by individual donors like you, John.
When I look at all that this team has done over the past year — from winning a primary against a 31-year establishment incumbent, to holding the line in Washington for the Build Back Better Act — it's incredible to see that it was all possible through donors like you who give $5 or $10 at a time.
And with a little over a year left in this current Congress, Jamaal is the progressive voice we need fighting for us in Washington, now more than ever. He's a part of a small margin of progressive voices willing to speak up for our values in Congress, and the work to keep him there has never been more urgent.
Thankfully, we have the plans to keep Jamaal in Congress — but these plans require us to make critical, early investments now in order to see them through. That means we can't afford to lose our momentum in fundraising, and we need to meet every fundraising goal from here on out. Which is why I have to ask one more time:
