While Tom focused on representing the voices of Arizona’s hardworking families in Congress, his opponent, Ron Watkins, was the catalyst behind one of the darkest days in American history - January 6th. Through his hate-filled message board 8chan, he, along with Nazi sympathizers and white supremacists, peddled dangerous conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and spread life-threatening misinformation about vaccines, culminating in the storming of the US Capitol on January 6th.
