AFSCME just endorsed Tom, bringing the total number of union endorsements to 106!

Their support is a key marker of our campaign’s momentum, but here’s the problem: Our fundraising just hasn’t matched our campaign’s energy, and we’re behind on our October projections.

If we bring in 350 email donations before the end of the month, we’ll be in good shape. If not, we may have to make budget cuts and risk keeping the governor’s office red.

That’s why we’re coming to you directly: Will you please donate $7 or more to help Tom win Maryland and flip the governor’s mansion?

It’s no wonder so many people and organizations are stepping up to join the Team, folks. Tom’s spent his career fighting for workers -- from implementing the nation’s first living-wage law as Maryland’s Labor Secretary to fighting employment discrimination and expanding health care for workers in President Obama’s cabinet.

But here’s the rub: Winning campaigns aren’t built on credentials alone, and the Washington Post says our race could be the most expensive in state’s history, so coming up short could mean losing this race.

If everyone who receives this email makes a donation (of any amount!), we’ll make up the ground we’ve lost this month and be able to fund our boots-on-the ground campaign efforts.

But not everyone does contribute, so it’s really important that YOU do.

As governor of Maryland, Tom will use his experience to ensure that everyone has access to a good-paying job, every child can receive a world-class education, small businesses can thrive, and justice is equal for all. We need Tom in office because he’s proven time and time again that he’s not afraid to step up, organize, and do the hard work governing requires.
