John–
Rep. Lucy McBath just took a huge step forward to help our movement to end gun violence. This morning, the House Judiciary Committee marked up Rep. McBath's H.R. 2377, the Federal Extreme Risk Protection Order Act of 2021.
The bill would allow family members and law enforcement to take action when there is evidence someone is in crisis by petitioning a court to temporarily remove their access to firearms—all while protecting the due process rights of all people involved.
By having a federal extreme risk law on the books, people across the country could help stop firearm suicides and mass shootings before they happen.
John, Rep. McBath has been a constant champion for gun safety, both before she was elected to Congress and now as a member doing everything she can to help end gun violence in communities across the country. Sign our card today and thank her for helping our movement take another huge step forward.

As a survivor of gun violence, and from her time as a Moms Demand Action volunteer to her current role serving her fellow Georgians as a member of Congress, Rep. McBath has been a role model for all of us. She continues to show us every day what it means to demand action and fight for gun safety. With your help, we can make sure her work gets the support it needs.
Because of Rep. McBath, legislation is moving that would empower communities across the country to prevent gun violence and help people in crisis get the support they need. Thank Rep. McBath for championing this life-saving legislation.
Thank you for being a part of this movement, and thank you for joining us in celebrating a Gun Sense Champion.
