Here’s why your support is so critical: Ro takes $0 in PAC donations throughout the cycle. That’s millions of dollars worth of resources left on the table. But to Ro and our team, sticking to our shared ideals and putting working families first is more important.
However, at the end of every quarter, our fundraising numbers become public for everyone — including the pundits and our opponents. If a powerful No PAC campaign can’t meet their goals, especially in the first month of the quarter, it sends the message that other politicians need to take PAC money to stay afloat.
When our movement falls financially behind, there’s no massive corporate PAC that will swoop in to help us. From day one, Ro knew that’s how he wanted to run this campaign – no PACs, just people.
It’s a sacrifice, yes. But one that helps us keep our core values, fight unapologetically for working-people, and speak truth to power. And so far, it’s worked. Our movement has accomplished so much together, from electing a Democratic majority in the Senate to getting closer than ever before to passing Medicare for All. But there’s still work to do.
