John,
I firmly believe that the role — the duty — of the Governor of Virginia is to unite people. To bring about unity in times of division. And above all, to do the morally right thing, especially when others won’t.
After he failed to condemn Donald Trump and his ‘big lie’ rally, it’s clear Glenn Youngkin doesn’t hold those values.
From day one of his campaign, Youngkin has pushed Donald Trump’s lies about the 2020 election. He’s peddled dangerous conspiracy theories and keeps cozying up to Trump’s most extreme supporters.
This is not who we are as Virginians — or as Americans. And we must not stand for this hateful, divisive rhetoric. This is about safeguarding the values that make this country what it is.
That’s why, right now, I am asking you to split a donation between my campaign and Tim Alexander for Congress. Everything we raise right now will go directly toward getting out the vote in this election — because the best way to defend our democracy is to participate in it. I am humbly asking for your support today:

January 6 was one of the darkest days in our history. We watched as our Capitol was desecrated. Police officers were killed. And our democracy was under siege.
Trump’s rally for Youngkin this month was another dark day. Attendees actually celebrated the insurrection by saying the pledge of allegiance to a flag that was used to try and bring down democracy — the very democracy which that American flag symbolizes.
Glenn Youngkin saw January 6 just like the rest of us. His complacency in undermining American democracy is unacceptable.
John, he is not fit to be Governor of Virginia.
I’m asking you right now to stand up for our democracy and split a donation between my campaign and Tim Alexander by chipping in whatever amount makes sense for you. Together, we will build a movement that unites us and keeps our Commonwealth moving forward.
In solidarity,
Terry McAuliffe
