Vote, and make your voice heard!

Voting is one of the best ways we can make progress on issues that matter—yet voter participation in New York State has historically been low. This year, you have multiple options for casting your vote:

  1. Vote by mail via absentee ballot
  2. Vote early before October 31
  3. Vote in person on Election Day, November 2

The outcome of these elections stand to make a big difference in the lives of LGBTQ people in our state, affecting everything from sentencing in court cases (based on the judges we elect) to voting access (based on the fate of important ballot proposals). Want to learn more about what’s on the ballot, and how you can make your vote count? Visit gaycenter.org/vote

Thanks for all you do,

Increasing our Freedom to Vote: Mark YES on 1, 3, 4

New Yorkers can vote YES on three statewide ballot proposals for a stronger democracy while dramatically increasing our freedom to vote. If passed, these proposals would adopt same-day voter registration, establish no-excuse absentee voting, and improve & clarify the redistricting process. With voting rights under attack in many states, it becomes that much more important for New York to safeguard voting access immediately. Learn more about the proposals and get ready to vote YES.
