Take action! Hi John,
Our communities have been shuffled and sliced – gerrymandered – to serve one party’s aims, and those aims are not centered around conservation voter values – clean water, clean energy, an equitable democracy. Instead, they center squarely on the pursuit of centralizing power at the cost of our most sacred freedom: to choose our representatives in government through the vote.
Competitive districts are healthy for our democracy – no matter where on the political spectrum you sit. Competitive districts means competitive ideas and that means innovation. With one party and one slate of ideas installed permanently by an imbalanced system, Wisconsin loses that innovation and its own powerful marketplace of ideas.
It’s time Wisconsin voters are no longer held hostage to the demeaning, destructive gerrymander so we can freely and fairly exercise our freedom to vote.
