The need for data and evidence to meet education challenges has never been greater, but many state and district education leaders are struggling with how to generate insights and act on them.
That’s where research-practice partnerships (RPPs) come in.
RPPs can support state and local leaders as they work to meet the challenges of this moment. These ongoing, formal partnerships between education researchers and practitioners promote collaboration across sectors, bolstering efforts to conduct and apply research that can inform recovery strategies and identify best practices.
Our new resource, How Education Leaders Can Rethink Data, Evidence, and Research-Practice Partnerships to Serve Their Students, lays out the ways that RPPs are uniquely structured to provide state and district education leaders with the actionable insights they need to support decisionmaking and navigate the disruptions of and ongoing recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
