As we near the end of 2021 and reflect
on what The Trust for Public Land achieved over the past year, you
should be proud of the outstanding work your leadership and support
has made possible.
Despite the hardships caused by the
ongoing pandemic, the continuing problem of catastrophic wildfires,
and years of mismanagement and funding deficits that have left our
nation's monuments and public lands in disrepair, The Trust for
Public Land and our members have still made tremendous progress toward
our aggressive goals to conserve one million acres of land, protect
1,000 miles of rivers and streams, and connect or build 1,000 miles of
trails across America by the year 2025.
But our work is far from done
- to reach our aggressive goals by 2025, we must continue and
expand our vital work during the coming year. That's why we are
asking you to join The Trust for Public Land with a monthly gift so
that we can gain a head start on the critical year ahead and aid
important efforts such as:

* Our Community Schoolyards(TM) projects, which will transform
asphalt schoolyards into vibrant parks in communities across the
U.S., improving park access for 6 million people.
* Permanently protecting 384-acres of undeveloped land on
Banning Ranch in Southern California, which is one of the
largest tracts of private land remaining on the California
coast.
* Expanding the Sabinoso Wilderness in New Mexico with the
addition of the 9,855-acre Cañon Ciruela property, the largest
donation of land in U.S. history for the expansion of a federal
wildness area.
* Creating the Butte Falls Community Forest, a 450-acre property
in Oregon which will provide the community with hiking and
biking trails, a historic railroad park, park amenities to
promote public access, and managed forestland.
