John — it’s official. The right-wing backed campaign to recall San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin has submitted enough signatures to trigger a recall election that could turn back years of progress towards justice.

Those signatures still need to be certified. But there is no time to lose preparing for a long and costly fight ahead of us. That is the only way we can  protect Chesa’s good work to end police brutality and protect victims. The recall organizers have already spent well over one million dollars — much of it outside dark money — to return to an old justice system that preys on Black and brown communities. 

Without financial support from justice-minded readers like you, we won’t be able to stop them.
