"Hi, I’m humbly asking you to endorse me for Governor of Maryland!”

2,000 Endorsers needed by 11:59 P.M. tonight.

Hi there -- In a moment, we're going to ask you to sign your name to officially endorse Tom for Governor of Maryland. [[link removed]]

But first, please let us tell you a bit more about why Tom's running:

When Tom talks to folks across our state, he hears the same stories: Families and small businesses are struggling to get by in the wake of a global pandemic while the rich get richer. Racial biases and inequities from housing to criminal justice continue to hold back thousands of Marylanders. And so many students -- particularly low-income students and students of color -- are being left behind without access to the world-class education they deserve.

Our government is failing too many families and Tom is running for Governor to change that. He's spent his entire life fighting for civil rights and working people, and he wants to use that experience to build a Maryland that works for everyone. But this fight is going to take all of us:

So we're humbly asking: Will you sign your name to officially endorse Tom before midnight? We need 341 more Democrats to step up to prove we have the grassroots support to win and deliver a better future for Maryland! Can we count on your signature today? >> [[link removed]]

Tom is the proud son of immigrants from the Dominican Republic, and he paid his way through college working on the back of a garbage truck. He knows the value of hard work and how to win the toughest fights.

After law school, he didn’t want to bill hours -- he wanted to help people. He started out as a civil rights prosecutor at the Department of Justice where he took on racism and police brutality, and served on the Montgomery County Council. Then, after two years as Maryland’s Secretary of Labor, he got to work rebuilding the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice and joined President Obama’s cabinet as Secretary of Labor to fight for workers.

Growing up, he could have never imagined that the President would give him such an opportunity to help people, or that he'd be running for Governor. Tom's here because it's never been about him . It's been about a team of people fighting together for a better country and a better Maryland.

This race is no different, and your endorsement at this critical moment would mean the world to Tom! So please, will you have Tom's back by quickly signing before midnight? [[link removed]]
