Yesterday, news broke that organizers of the January 6th insurrection have come forward to confirm the involvement of some of my Republican colleagues in their planning.

I’m not surprised.

So as this story continues to develop, I wanted to give you a quick update: Last week I voted to hold Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress for violating a subpoena by the January 6th Committee.

Holding extremists accountable for breaking the law is our fundamental duty as members of Congress. This vote was about protecting our democracy and ensuring accountability for the domestic terrorists who threatened the peaceful transfer of power that day — including Steve Bannon, and including any member of Congress who conspired to aid them.

I’m going to continue fighting every day to protect our democracy, but I need to know that you have my back. Can you chip in $15, or whatever you’re able, today?
