Hey team, how’ve you been?

I wanted to give you a quick update of what I’ve been up to this month. During the Senate recess, I got to do two of my favorite things: spend some time on the farm, and travel the state talking to folks like you.

I got the chance to speak with family farmers and ranchers in Great Falls, thank some local teachers in Belgrade, join the dedication ceremony for MSU’s new American Indian Hall, and hold roundtables with Tribal leaders about supporting folks in Indian Country in Bozeman.

Now that I’m back in Washington, I’m missing Montana and the farm, but focused on the job at hand. The Senate recently held a hearing on my Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act, a bill that would create Montana jobs and preserve thousands of acres of public lands. I’m taking what I’m hearing from folks back home and working on solutions like these right here in the Capitol.

I’m not like a lot of people in politics — I’m just a dirt farmer from Montana. I work hard for my constituents because the only difference between us is that I can more easily share my voice in the halls of power.

My top priority is fighting for everyday folks like those in communities like mine. Please chip in to help keep our work going, so I can continue to focus on solving problems and making progress.
