This Election Day, there are critical governors’ races in New Jersey and Virginia, mayoral races in New York City and more than 30 other major cities, as well as other critical state and local elections across the country.

At NIRH Action Fund, we understand the full impact of state and local elections. We’ve worked to elect champions in Virginia over the past several years, which led to the passage of Virginia's Reproductive Health Protection Act. We’ve also been working long and hard in New Jersey to move the Reproductive Freedom Act. Down ballot, electing candidates who support reproductive freedom made it possible to allocate city funding to support abortion care in New York City, Austin, and Portland.
