Friend,

Even before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, families in America faced a childcare crisis.

The pandemic only further exacerbated the issue, disproportionately impacting the ability of mothers to return to work and resulting in women losing nearly 2.9 million jobs.

As we work towards moving President Biden’s agenda forward, it’s critical we deliver necessary relief for working families by addressing our country’s childcare crisis.

That’s why I’m leading a group of my Senate colleagues in calling for universal pre-k and at least $450 billion in childcare funding in the Build Back Better Act .

Our economy will not return to normal unless we invest in our working families — and that means increasing access to safe, affordable childcare options.

I’m fighting to get this done for the American people. But while I’m focusing on my job in the Senate, I’m hoping you can help our team keep up on our fundraising goals.

With my end-of-month fundraising deadline less than one week away, can you pitch in to help me keep fighting in the Senate for necessary childcare investments?

For far too long, our country has overlooked the absolute importance of childcare and its impact on our growing economy. It’s time we invest in working families and their children.

Thank you for your time and support.
