WRAP Week is Coming Up! Enough Is Enough's Culture-Changing Initiatives are being Shared and Implemented Across the Nation ... and Beyond Partnering With Leaders in the U.S. and Abroad to Protect Children on the Internet EIE President and CEO Donna Rice Hughes met with South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson and SC Governor Henry McMaster, as well as North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum to discuss next steps in pushing forward statewide internet safety initiatives. Both states are leaders in prioritizing the prevention of the sexual exploitation of children, and are committed to implementing efforts to protect children on the internet! (Pictured: Governor Burgum, Donna Rice Hughes, and First Lady Kathryn Burgum at TEDx Talk Event) Inaugural "10 Days of Trafficking" Event Donna and EIE Communications Director, Kathy Hatem, had the honor of attending the inaugural kickoff event of "10 Days of Trafficking" in Washington DC. They met with many prominent activists, NGOs, academics, and elected leaders including a mayor, a senator, and an attorney general who were part of the Mexican delegation. Donna briefs attendees on EIE's 3-pronged preventative approach to combatting child sexual exploitation on the internet. John Richmond, U.S. Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, shared pandemic-fueled human trafficking trends. Adrián Rubalcava, City Mayor of Cuajimalpa de Morelos, and EIE Communications Director Kathy Hatem Donna and Patricia Salazar, Mayor of Allende Nuevo Leon (Coahuila, Mexico) Speaking Engagements: Educate, Equip and Empower Donna had a very special opportunity to deliver a "TEDx Talk" titled, Where Kids Play, Predators Prey: Protecting Kids Online.
