Mercy Corps helps farmers like Kodet address the underlying issues that impact food insecurity.
But Kodet’s livelihood is at risk: cattle raids, drought, and shrinking pasture have led to routine food shortages.
To help address these challenges, Kodet participated in a Mercy Corps training on improved livestock management. He also received seeds to start pasture gardens with supplemental shrubs and grass to feed his animals. After all, "hungry animals cannot provide for hungry people," he says.
