Friend,
Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. That’s why we’re fighting to expand Medicare to include dental, hearing, and vision coverage, and allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices to stop Big Pharma’s out-of-control price gouging.
As we near a deal on the Build Back Better legislation, we’re up against powerful industry lobbyists that are spending millions of dollars, pressuring members of Congress to maintain their outrageous profits at the expense of people’s health. Take a look at this Washington Post headline:
Together, we’re fighting alongside champions such as Senate Finance Committee Chair Bernie Sanders to ensure our priorities don’t get cut from the Build Back Better legislation at the last minute:

The expansion of Medicare to cover dental, hearing and vision is one of the most popular and important provisions in the entire reconciliation bill. It’s what the American people want. It’s not coming out.

We are on the verge of a historic investment in our families and communities. We can’t let insurance and Big Pharma lobbyists cut these critical investments in the 11th hour. Can you rush a contribution today to fight for our priorities in the Build Back Better plan?
Medicare negotiating drug prices would save taxpayers nearly $500 billion, which can be put toward Medicare expansion.
And Medicare expansion would be paid for if we ensure the rich and corporations pay their fair share. With all of the important investments included in the Build Back Better plan, we’d be able to address longstanding racial, social, and economic inequities that for generations have held us back.
I ran for office to help our government better represent everyday people who make up the majority in our country. 88% of Americans support federal funding for lowering prescription drug prices, and 84% support federal funding for expanded Medicare coverage to include dental, hearing, and vision care.
And no wonder—even before the pandemic, many people have had to make devastating decisions, such as choosing between paying for food or paying for prescriptions. Many have had to forego or ration life-saving medication in order to keep paying rent.
Our communities cannot wait any longer; this is a matter of survival. We’ve got to make sure that our government is responsive to the voices and needs of the people, not Big Pharma.
A deal is likely to be struck this week. Can you rush a contribution today to fight for BIG and BOLD investments, including expanding Medicare and taking on Big Pharma’s greed?
