Hi John,
If you've got a family member who's
deeply conservative (or heck, maybe that's you!), you need to meet this week's podcast guest..
That's who Kelly Ross Krout once was, and today she's now proudly running as a Democrat for lieutenant governor of Arkansas.
Over the last decade, Kelly has grown. She's gained the wisdom and courage to challenge the conservative, Republican ideas that she was surrounded by.
In 2020, much to the surprise of many in her community, Kelly ran for state House in deep-red Arkansas as a progressive Democrat.
Now this foster mom is our best bet to rebuild the Democratic bench in Arkansas -- and to be a megaphone for the issues that matter for families like hers.
Tune in this week to learn Kelly's transformation story, how she's earning her graduate degree in social work while running for office, and why creating songs explaining women's health on TikTok is an effective campaign strategy!
