Dear friend,

Life with cystic fibrosis means living with a heightened risk of serious infections. The buildup of thick, sticky mucus in the lungs makes people with CF more susceptible to bacterial infections which can last for a couple of days or many years.

But with few drugmakers investing in research and development, and the threat of antibiotic-resistant infections growing, there simply aren't enough effective antibiotics available to meet the challenges that lie ahead – not just for the CF community – but for everyone.

That's why Congress must pass the Pioneering Antimicrobial Subscriptions to End Upsurging Resistance (PASTEUR) Act: a bipartisan, bicameral bill that will bolster a new era of antibiotic research and development to bring novel treatments into the hands of those who need them most.

Your voice can make a difference. Send a message now ([link removed]) to urge your members of Congress to cosponsor the PASTEUR Act and help to build momentum toward passage.

Thank you for lending your voice on this critical issue,

David
