COP26 is nearly here. Whatever happens inside the official summit, it’s a moment when groups from all around the world will be sharing ideas about what we need to do to tackle the climate crisis and overcome the barriers in the way of climate action.

The People’s Summit for Climate Justice ([link removed]) , 7-10 November, will be a massive and vibrant event for learning and building ideas for achieving climate justice and system change. There are sessions which are taking place in Glasgow itself, and others which are happening online. Global Justice Now is collaborating with international allies on both types of event.

Just five companies are currently suing governments for $18 billion for taking climate action. They’re using investment tribunals (or ‘corporate courts’), and they’re not the only ones. Hear from international allies about the way communities are fighting back against corporate courts - and how some governments are now getting rid of them.
