Cities are home to more than half of the world's population, and city leaders are uniquely positioned to help transform public health. Watch the playlist to see how the Partnership for Healthy Cities — launched by Mike, the World Health Organization, and Vital Strategies in 2017 — is working to reduce smoking, prevent traffic deaths, respond to COVID-19, and more in cities around the world. Last week, we partnered with Johns Hopkins University to launch the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation. With a $43 million dollar investment, it will be a hub and resource for city leaders to receive specialized training in creative problem solving in local government, and will also conduct research on the impact of these practices. The Center will serve as the home for several flagship Bloomberg Philanthropies Government Innovation programs. With support from Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Metropolitan Opera is bringing 10 productions from the 2021–2022 season to cinemas around the world. This season's lineup includes beloved classics, as well as four Met premieres.
