Digging a little deeper into the campaign finance filings, the bigger picture is more of a mixed bag. While we outraised Franklin by more than 60% for the quarter, his cash-on-hand advantage is still significant ($92,997 to be exact).

We’re not in the habit of making excuses, but, honestly, we think this is only because Franklin’s been “campaigning” since the beginning of this year. We’re putting “campaigning” in air quotes because as far as we can tell, for Franklin that just means asking his wealthy donors to cut him a check.
