Redistricting is a once-a-decade process that varies by state, inspires political, civic and legal action, and fundamentally determines how power is distributed in the United States. Part of Poynter’s training series on the 2020 census, this webinar will help journalists report on redistricting and its impact for years to come.

PolitiFact editor-in-chief Angie Drobnic Holan and PolitiFact senior correspondent Louis Jacobson will guide you through this session. Panelists include Ally Mutnick, House campaigns reporter at Politico; Olga Pierce, professor at University of Nebraska-Lincoln; David Wasserman, senior editor at The Cook Political Report; Benjamin Williams, program principal at the National Conference of State Legislatures; and Janet Williams, journalist, writer and editor.

This webinar, featuring award-winning ESPN reporter Katie Barnes, will teach journalists how to thoughtfully, accurately and ethically report stories about gender and sports on the local level.
