In May, I stood on the steps of the United States Supreme Court to join the thousands of people across the country who raised their voices to #StopTheBans.
Since Roe v. Wade, a decision based on privacy rights, women have been able to make their own reproductive health care decisions with their doctors. Now, that right is in jeopardy: the Supreme Court will be hearing its first reproductive rights case since the appointment of Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh.
We know that banning or limiting abortion and disseminating false or misleading information about abortion will not stop abortions - it will create a public health crisis with low-income women and women of color suffering a disproportionate amount of the harm.
In light of the recent harmful, regressive legislation in several states and the pending case in the Supreme Court - it's essential for Congress to pass legislation to protect the right of women to decide whether to terminate a pregnancy. Congress must prohibit any government entity from denying, interfering with, or discriminating against their right to make that choice.
Sign my petition urging my colleagues in Congress to protect reproductive freedom.

I will continue to fight for access to contraception, evidence-based sex education, and the right to abortion.
Thank you for fighting with me,
Suzanne
