Compassion in Action Matching Gift Challenge

MATCH MY GIFT : [link removed]

Dear John,

I have an exciting opportunity to share with you to make your fall donation go twice as far: AFSC’s Compassion in Action Matching Gift Challenge!

Make a gift to AFSC between now and Nov. 18, and your contribution will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $500,000. Click here: [link removed]

Caring supporters like you help us respond in critical ways: Delivering humanitarian aid after a hurricane. Standing up for the human rights of people who are incarcerated. Providing support to migrants and refugees. Organizing for worldwide access to life-saving vaccines.

John, if enough compassionate people like you donate, we will reach our $500,000 goal. And that will mean AFSC will receive a total of $1,000,000 to invest in our work for peace with justice. Click here: [link removed]

There is no better time to support AFSC’s work with people around the globe.

Earlier this year, airstrikes on Gaza killed at least 260 Palestinians and displaced hundreds of thousands from their homes. AFSC responded with humanitarian assistance to elderly people and their families. But people in Gaza have a long recovery ahead and continue to suffer under a blockade. Your gift helps us meet urgent needs while working for lasting peace.

At the U.S.-Mexico border, migrants stuck in makeshift camps face violence and unsanitary conditions. AFSC has provided hygiene kits, which included basic toiletries, and has organized legal clinics while advocating for more humane asylum policies. Your gift brings support to migrants and all who seek refuge.

In New Jersey, women were brutally beaten and sexually assaulted at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility. AFSC’s Prison Watch program helped them speak out. Since then, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy has announced he will close the prison. Your gift helps protect the human rights of incarcerated people.

Over 2 million petition signers helped convince President Biden to support a temporary waiver on intellectual property rights for the COVID-19 vaccine. But more is needed. Your gift supports advocacy for expanded global vaccine production to bring an end to this pandemic, for we are not safe until we are all vaccinated.

Please take a moment to send your most generous gift to AFSC today. With the Compassion in Action Matching Gift Challenge, your gift will have double the impact! Click here: [link removed]

Thank you for supporting our efforts and for all the ways you are helping to make the world a more peaceful and just place.

In peace,
Joyce Ajlouny
General Secretary
