In my time in Congress, I had the honor and privilege to serve on the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, where I got to work alongside then-Congressman from Minnesota, Tim Walz. Tim became a mentor, running partner, and most importantly, one of my closest friends in Congress.

No one worked harder on that committee to fight on behalf of our veterans than Tim. As the highest-ranking enlisted service member to ever serve in Congress, Tim knew as well as anyone the struggles that many of our veterans faced as they returned to civilian life. He fought every day to ensure that we lived up to our commitment to every veteran in this country. 

It’s this principled leadership that he’s continued to embody as governor, and it’s exactly why we need to help re-elect him. At a time when so many on the other side of the aisle continue to put politics over people, Tim remains committed to running on his values and not away from them. 

That’s why I’m reaching out personally today. I just learned that Tim’s re-election campaign is still more than 800 Founding Donors behind their goal, and the deadline is at 11:59 pm tomorrow night.
