We can’t allow another anti-democracy Republican to get elected into a key Attorney General seat. Help us win this crucial election now:
Friend,
Our Political Director, David Sanchez, sent you a message yesterday explaining just how close the Attorney General election is in Virginia.
Polling shows this race is within the margin of error, and if we let Republicans win, there will be detrimental impacts for all of our communities.
Why? Because Attorneys General fight together, and GOP AGs have been on the frontlines of taking our rights and harming our democracy.
🔴 18 Republican AGs signed on to indicted Texas Republican AG Ken Paxton’s lawsuit to throw out millions of lawfully cast votes and overturn the results of the 2020 election. Paxton still believes, to this day, that Donald Trump won the 2020 election, despite being under investigation for filing this frivolous lawsuit.
🔴 24 Republican AGs filed a legal brief backing Mississippi’s Republican AG Lynn Fitch’s direct challenge of Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood.
🔴 24 Republican AGs threatened to sue President Biden over his common-sense vaccine mandates to protect our communities, and some pro-Trump GOP AGs are filing lawsuits to stop local officials from implementing these basic protections in the midst of a global pandemic.
If Virginia’s GOP AG nominee Jason Miyares wins this election, there will be another extremist anti-democracy, anti-choice Republican that could add his name to conservative lawsuits just like these.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
