The wealthiest corporations want you to believe we’re facing a "labor shortage" in the United States.
But what's really happening is a living-wage shortage, a paid family leave shortage, a child care shortage, a hazard pay shortage, and a health care shortage.
We stand in solidarity with hundreds of thousands workers nationwide who are using their leverage — and in some cases, organizing strikes and walk-outs — to demand good pay, good benefits, and a good quality of life. And we’re fighting to translate the demands of this historic labor movement into law.
Working Americans make our economy run. And the bottom line is, all people deserve to be able to provide for their families without needing a second job or cutting corners on necessities.
Yet workers are being denied their fair share of our country’s prosperity. Since 1979, profits have exploded, but wages have hardly risen to match. Instead, most of that money is going straight into the pockets of the wealthiest few.
Allowing massive corporations to exploit workers is a policy decision — and it’s past time to level the playing field. That’s why Ro refuses to accept PAC contributions, and it’s why he shares the same priorities as workers fighting on the picket lines — even if it means upsetting the status quo.
Massive corporations are eager to silence Ro and stonewall workers’ demands — but our grassroots movement is powerful enough to take them on.
