Your Storm Heaven Intentions Today!
Dear Friend,
As Cardinal Burke continues to
gradually regain his strength, he sends his blessing, daily prayers and well wishes to all of
you. He joins me in expressing much gratitude for all the prayers our
Rosary Warriors have offered and continue to offer for his rapid and
complete recovery. He is grateful for your notes, cards and holy
masses offered on his behalf.
On the November 1st
Solemnity of All Saints, we are pleased to announce that while
Cardinal Burke continues to
recover, Archbishop
Alexander Sample, the Archbishop of Portland, will offer the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass and lead
the Holy Rosary on behalf of Operation Storm Heaven and Rosary
Warriors around the globe.
So, please save the date on
November 1st
to be part of the Holy Mass and
Holy Rosary live from St. Mary’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1716 NW Davis St,
Portland, Oregon.
November 1, 2021 – 5:30 PM
Pacific Time
As always, we will be sending out
the link with times and the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary, in a
separate email. We are excited to have Operation Storm
Heaven hosted in this beautiful cathedral designed in 1925 with its
Romanesque style and Byzantine features.
As part
of Operation Storm Heaven, your intentions are added each month
to the Holy Mass and to the Most Holy Rosary prayed for by all the
Rosary Warriors throughout the world on the 1st of November.
The Month of November is dedicated
to the Holy Souls in Purgatory, with the Commemoration of All the
Faithful Departed (All Souls Day) on November 2. A plenary indulgence,
applicable only to the Souls in Purgatory, is granted to the faithful,
who devoutly visit a cemetery and pray, if only mentally, for the
departed. You may receive the plenary indulgence each day,
from the 1st to the 8th of November. The Holy Souls are
depending on you to help them!
Let’s also include in our prayer
intentions:
-
That the Gifts of the Holy Spirit,
especially the Gift of Wisdom, may fall upon all Bishops attending the
USCCB Fall General Assembly November 15 - November 18.
-
For an increase in vocations to the
priesthood and religious life, especially in those areas that are most
deprived of the sacraments, that God may raise up many zealous pastors
and caretakers of His holy people in order to strengthen the Church’s
mission of saving souls.
-
That the Holy Spirit stir up the Baptismal and Confirmation vows
in all Catholics, so that they may be on fire for the Church;
especially in the frequent reception of Holy Communion and in the
Sacrament of Confession.
- That the
Blessed Virgin Mary may wrap her mantle of love and healing around His
Eminence, Cardinal Burke, and that he may continue his complete and
rapid recovery.
-
That our Mother of Mercy may bring
healing and hope to all who are ill, especially those who are
experiencing the effects of the pandemic as well as those in hospitals, nursing homes, and rehab centers.
- For the
Holy Souls in Purgatory, especially those souls who have no one to
pray for them, as well as those who have died suddenly without the
forgiveness of their sins.
- For the unity of the Church, that we may
all work toward overcoming differences and uniting our efforts in the
common mission of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the
nations.
Once again as a Rosary Warrior, I
would like to invite you to present your new or
updated intentions and prayer
requests for Operation Storm Heaven before the 1st of November.
I would like to take advantage of
this opportunity to thank you for being part of Cardinal Burke's
Rosary Crusade Operation Storm
Heaven and for continuing your prayers for his
full recovery. I would also
like to encourage you to recite the Holy Rosary every day as Our Lady
requested, if you do not do so already.
Finally, if you know
others who have intentions and would like to submit them, and to help
others join Operation Storm Heaven as we march to our goal of reaching
One Million Rosary Warriors, please forward this email to your family
and friends and ask them to click here.
Your friend in Christ,
Thomas McKenna
