Hey, it’s Deidre DeJear,

It’s been over 2 months since I’ve launched my campaign for Governor of Iowa, and I am so grateful that every day I have been able to see what motivates, moves, and drives Iowans in their everyday lives.

But, I also want to make sure that YOU, know what moves and drives me to represent the Iowa that I love.

Before I share, would you consider chipping into my campaign so I can continue to travel and hear as many Iowan voices as I can? Our end-of-month goal of $10,000 is close, and I would value your support »

First, I ran for Iowa Secretary of State in 2018, and while losing by only a few points was heartbreaking, what has been even harder is seeing the folks of Iowa facing such heavy challenges the past few years.

Second, I believe that while we face these challenges, it’s important to see the good.

I’ve seen communities come together and support each other through a global pandemic. I’ve seen Iowan small businesses become innovative and successful in the face of adversity. It fills my heart with hope.

Third, I believe that overcoming these challenges together gives us an opportunity to create a stronger Iowa. That’s why I’m exploring a run for Governor. Not to take up space, but to see if I can truly serve my Iowan community.
