John,

Momentum is gaining for our push to include the Billionaires Income Tax in the Build Back Better Act.

Even though it only targets the top 0.0002 percent, the Billionaires Income Tax would raise hundreds of billions of dollars over the next decade, paving the way for groundbreaking investments in universal preschool, Medicare expansion, and paid family and medical leave.

So please call on your members of Congress to include the Billionaires Income Tax in the Build Back Better Act now.

John,

Earlier this week, Elon Musk mocked Jeff Bezos tweeting a 2nd place symbol at him as he once again became the richest man in the world by well over $30 billion.

It is outrageous that one man is worth over $200 billion dollars.

What’s even more outrageous is that they joke about it while paying essentially no taxes on their wealth.

America now has more billionaires than at any time in history, all while most Americans are struggling to make ends meet. With such staggering inequality, we must create a system in which economic gains are more widely spread out.

If we work to ensure that the wealth of billionaires is used to invest in healthcare, education, and infrastructure, we can create a more equal society.

And the billionaire class is terrified of the idea that they might have to pay more in taxes because when they look at the widespread support of the Build Back Better Act, they can see that WE are going to make it happen.

So please join DFA today and write to your U.S. Senators and Representative today and call on them to include the Billionaires Income Tax in the Build Back Better Act to ensure billionaires begin paying their fair share toward critical investments in our future.

The letter-writing tool is really simple and easy to use and we have suggested text that we also encourage you to edit in your own words to have an even greater impact.

Billionaires have too much power in America and with millions of children living below the poverty line and families across the country forced to choose between putting food on the table or paying their bills, we must ensure that they begin paying their fair share towards critical investments in our future.

Critical investments like free child care for children under the age of six, universal preschool, and expanding Medicare to cover dental, hearing, and vision.

Now, with Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden proposing the Billionaires Income Tax, we could raise hundreds of billions of dollars over the next decade, to cover those critical investments and others.

So please, write a short letter to your U.S. Senators and Representative and urge them to make billionaires pay their fair share toward critical investments in our future by including the Billionaires Income Tax in Build Back Better Act.

We’re in this together, thank you for taking on the billionaires.
