Hi,

The far right has effectively killed Roe v. Wade, and they’re working on killing same-sex marriage. Last week, Republican legislators in Texas issued an opinion stating that same-sex marriage is still illegal in Texas because (according to them), state law trumps the Supreme Court’s ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, the case that legalized same-sex marriage.

As a gay woman, I take this threat to my right to marriage extremely seriously. And I want the Democratic Party to do MUCH more to fight encroaching fascism.

In Congress, I will fight to codify abortion and same-sex marriage into law and expand the Supreme Court so it’s not a judicial wing of the GOP anymore. Can you chip in now to help me do that?

A Rolling Stone piece just came out reporting that sitting members of Congress had dozens of meetings with January 6 plotters and were in contact with them throughout the day of the coup attempt. One of the Congressmen even said that Trump would issue a blanket pardon for the coup plotters.

These members of Congress helped organize a terrorist attack on the Capitol that left at least 7 people dead. They should be held accountable and kicked out of Congress. The far-right wants to turn the U.S. into an authoritarian, patriarchal theocracy where straight, white, Christian men are on the top of the hierarchy and have dominion over everyone else.
