BREAKING NEWS: “Texas asks Supreme Court to let its abortion ban stand” - Politico

Listen up, John! This is moving fast:

FIRST: Texas Republicans passed a new law effectively BANNING abortion.

BUT THEN: A Federal judge BLOCKED Texas’ abortion ban from going into effect. (We’re SO relieved!)

SO NOW: Texas is appealing the decision to the Supreme Court and asking them to UPHOLD this attack on women’s fundamental rights.

Well, we’re not going to sit back and let that happen, John! So we’re submitting a formal petition to the Supreme Court to demand that they OVERTURN this unconstitutional attack on a woman’s right to choose. We need to gather at least 25,000 signatures to make sure that our message is UNMISTAKEABLE.

Republican legislatures in more than a dozen states are already considering anti-abortion laws modeled after the Texas law!

If the Supreme Court upholds the Texas abortion ban, WHO KNOWS how many states could be next???
