difference in the lives of refugees and immigrants. From meeting the
ongoing needs at our southern border, connecting immigrants to
critical resources, and caring for Afghan refugees and their families,
your gifts go a long way to welcoming newcomers to the U.S.

This includes Mohammad*, who feared lethal retaliation from the
Taliban and made a harrowing escape from Afghanistan. When he arrived
in the U.S., he sought help at an LIRS affiliate office.

When Mohammad entered our doors, he had nothing but the clothes on his
back. He was warmly welcomed, given fresh clothes and essentials, and
provided a hotel room until he could find permanent housing.

yourself-because we are human beings. We need to help others.

Mohammad was so deeply moved by the hospitality of the staff and
volunteers that he vowed to return soon-next time, as a
volunteer.
