Legislation to create a Civilian Climate Corps (CCC) is gaining momentum! President Biden continues to showcase his support for establishing a CCC, and considers this legislation a critical component of his Build Back Better Agenda.

Chris and his fellow CCC co-sponsors have been speaking about the benefits a Civilian Climate Corp will have on our environment and economy on nationwide television shows, and public support for this program is increasing quickly.

The CCC would be implemented largely through AmeriCorps and prioritize projects that invest in clean and renewable energy, advance equity and environmental justice, and help our country mitigate the effects of climate change.

Tens of thousands of people will gain employment through the establishment of the CCC. Members will work on projects like combating wildfires and strengthening wetlands. With the climate crisis more severe than ever, there couldn't be a better time to get the next generation of conservation workers out in the field doing this critical work.
