John,

Hours after he was sworn in as president, Joe Biden synchronized US policy with inspiring teen activist Greta Thunberg's bold vision for global action on climate change by rejoining the historic Paris Climate Accord.

But Greta is laser-focused on ending the use of fossil fuels: “The fact that we are still having this discussion, and even more that we are still subsidizing fossil fuels, directly or indirectly, using taxpayer money is a disgrace.”

Ralph Norman, ranking Republican on the Environment Subcommittee of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, didn't hesitate to shut Greta down, summarily dismissing her legitimate policy views as mere “doomsday scenarios.”

The reality is that the Republican party's addiction to fossil fuel cash is the sole reason the United States is one of the world's leading greenhouse gas emitters. Mitch McConnell's own Senate seat is thanks to Kentucky's Big Coal industry. And he will use every dime of dark money he can get to consolidate his party's grip on our razor-thin 50/50 Senate.

We're doing everything we can to replace Republicans who can't refuse fossil fuel checks with strong progressives like Val Demings and Maggie Hassan who will follow Greta Thunberg's lead and cut greenhouse gas emissions well ahead of the Paris Accord's 2030 deadline. But to do that, our strong grassroots army must go all-in to make sure Demings and Hassan's campaigns can win against the Republicans' dark, dirty millions. And right now we're still coming up $4,067 short of our mission-critical October 31 fundraising deadline.

Look, without your ardent support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, we wouldn't be back in the Paris Agreement. Will you drum up that same energy you had when you voted for Biden and Harris and help A Woman's Place support our progressive House and Senate climate champions?

Take a stand, John: Donate $5 or $10 right now to help us hit our vital fundraising deadline. Val Demings and Maggie Hassan amplify Greta Thunberg's message every day, which makes them the fossil fuel industry's top targets. Please, will you chip in what you can to prove that grassroots power can fight back? >> [link removed]

Thank you for making sure Greta's bold ideas can guide the United States and the world out of the climate crisis. Thank you for everything, John.
