Asbury’s Historic Anniversary
To commemorate the 250th anniversary of Francis Asbury’s arrival in America, Religion News Service selected a variety of historic Methodist churches to highlight in a slide show, including Missouri’s own Old McKendree. Asbury preached 16,000 sermons and ordained 4,000 ministers, giving life to the Methodist movement.
