Tomorrow is the 26th of the month, so in a little bit, I’m going to ask you to chip in our average online contribution of $26. [[link removed]]

First though, I need to tell you why your $26 is anything but average -- it has a powerful and tangible impact on our progressive movement.

The key to a successful grassroots organization is connecting with voters where they are, turning them out to the polls, and showing them their votes matter. That means running ads on TV and online to get our message out there. It means printing yard signs and handing out voter literature. And it means organizing outreach efforts like canvassing and phone banking.

All of that takes considerable resources -- especially in a post- Citizens United landscape when elections are more expensive than ever. It’s going to be tough, but it’s doable with grassroots support from people like you. [[link removed]]

Because when an autoworker in Toledo chips in $26 [[link removed]] , it helps us buy a few more yard signs. When a nurse in Columbus pitches in $26 [[link removed]] , it helps pay for gas so we’re able to knock on a few more doors. And when a teacher in Steubenville contributes $26 [[link removed]] , it helps us reach a few more voters.

And that can make all the difference on Election Day -- but we can’t wait until November of next year to get started. We need to raise the resources now to execute a strong grassroots operation. So if you can chip in $26 -- or any amount at all -- it would make a big impact. [[link removed]]

Together, we can outwork and out-organize the special interests. That’s how we’re going to elect Dignity of Work leaders in Ohio, expand our Senate Majority, and continue delivering for workers and showing them what a government that’s on their side looks like.

With gratitude,

Sherrod
