John,

In 2018, we shocked the nation when Kansas voters took action and slammed the door on the Brownback era. I'm ready to do it again in 2022 -- but I can't win without your support. The 2022 election is already shaping up to be one of the most competitive governor's races in the country and we can't leave anything to chance.

All of the progress we've made so far -- a fully funded public education system, an economy on the mend, and expanding broadband -- could be under attack if we let our extreme Republican opponent win in 2022. That's why it's so important that we hit our $25,000 October end-of-month fundraising goal before Sunday's deadline.

Help us protect the progress we've already made by chipping in $5 or more to help us hit our $25,000 October end-of-month fundraising deadline.

Now, let me explain why we have to hit this goal. We're getting ready to invest more in our digital campaign in the coming months, and hitting our fundraising goals ensures that we have the money to place more ads, fight back against negative attacks, and ensure we're reaching voters across the state. But if we fall short, we have to think about making cuts -- and thinking about that this early in the cycle is a bad sign.

There's simply too much at stake in 2022. Falling behind early on is not an option -- especially with our extreme right-wing opponent and his special interest allies gearing up to spend whatever it takes to defeat me.

I need to know I can count on your support to help us hit this goal. Pitch in $5, or whatever you can, right now to help us hit our crucial $25,000 October end-of-month fundraising goal.
