John,
We're just 8 days away from Election Day in Virginia, and polling couldn't be closer.
Not only will voters decide who the next Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Virginia will be, but at the same time,
all 100 seats in the state's House of Delegates are up for grabs. It'll provide the clearest preview of what's to come in the 2022 midterms -- meaning we really need to show up and let everyone know that we mean business.
We hear the phrase “so much is at stake” all too often, but the reality is that this race will determine who the leaders will be -- who will make critical decisions on the state level. It's the state elected officials that make these critical decisions that impact our daily lives. From abortion rights, to police budgets, and everything in between,
it's up to them.
Those important decisions might be up to them, but John, we hold the true power because, without us, they can't be elected. It's up to us.
We've proved that we're the most successful when we're united. We need to come together for Virginia as we did for the Georgia runoffs and California recall. Will you chip in $5 to help us elect leaders who value Black lives in Virginia?

Whether you live in California, New York, Texas, or a small town in the Midwest, the bottom line is that
this election should matter to you. Because with every seat up for grabs, every person who's ever thought about running a campaign that upholds systems of white supremacy
has a chance. Every seat means every campaign rooted in hatred and bigotry
has a chance. The far-right has never tried harder than to take every public office seat to destroy our democracy.
Virginia is all of our responsibilities.
Right now, the polls aren't looking in our favor, and many people are counting out the candidates that uphold our values. But John, we know not to put too much faith in the polls -- we put our faith in people.
They tried to count us out in Georgia, they tried to count us out in California, and they're trying to count us out in Virginia. But we know that there's nothing more powerful than people-power and that we have the ability to come out stronger than ever before.
This race is meticulously close. Not only is it the responsibility of Virginians to get out to vote, but it's also up to us to rally behind the candidates there who are dedicated to the liberation of Black people in Virginia. If you're able, can you chip in whatever you can to ensure our success in Virginia?
In love and solidarity,
Black Lives Matter PAC
