Dear Friend,

The healthcare situation in Malawi before COVID-19 was already dire. Nearly three out of four people live on less than $2 a day. Rampant malnutrition means that more than one-third of all children under five are undersized for their age.

As challenging and tiring as being a Community Health Volunteer in Malawi can be, it's all worth it to see new hope in the eyes of the mothers and caregivers I help. That hope is fueled by you.

Your support means so much -- more resources, more education, more hope for the future. Please make a gift to the Health Worker Support Campaign today so communities like mine get the health and HOPE they deserve.

Because of you, I am able to teach families in the village of Chiponde how to stay healthy. We cover everything from how to safely store water to drink and the importance of washing your hands before nursing, to how to get help if their partners are abusive.

I know your gift today could do so much to help people in villages like Chiponde. Here's just three examples:

$65 = Water Purifier. With access to safe, clean water, we can prevent waterborne diseases and save the lives of more young children.

$100 = A Week's Worth of Medicine for 400 Pregnant Women. More than 800 women die in childbirth every day -- many from preventable causes. Access to prenatal care and medications means more safe deliveries for moms and babies.

$186 = 3 Bikes. For many health workers like me, bikes are the main source of transportation to reach people who live in rural areas and need help.
