John, people are calling for Kyrsten Sinema to resign, and I couldn’t agree more.

She is one of two people blocking President Biden’s Build Back Better plan -- legislation that will invest $3.2 billion into immigration reform, healthcare, climate action, and other issues that affect low-income citizens and people of color the most.

Sinema is using the racially-tainted filibuster to hold back progress that Democrats are trying to make, and we simply can’t afford that right now. We held the House majority, flipped the Senate, and won the presidency. We have the opportunity to make our party and our country better — but people like Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin (who are supposed to be with us) are working against us.

And I’m not saying everyone has to agree on everything ALL the time. But Sinema’s opposition is fueled by corporate greed including her close ties with Big Pharma, who has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to her. Her priorities lie with money, not the everyday working people and middle-class.

Kyrsten Sinema is exactly the reason we do what we do here at Barrier To Entry. She is fine with the status quo as long as it continues to benefit her and her wealthy friends. We deserve Democratic leaders who reflect our values and always prioritize our needs over special interests. That’s why BTE works to elect low-income and working-class candidates — because those are the type of people we can count on to champion legislation that will help everyday Americans.
