If you’re feeling concerned about the recent news about the status of voting rights in our country, I want you to know I share your thoughts.
But I also want you to hear this: We can’t give up.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about something my former colleague, the late Congressman John Lewis, said. He said, “This is no time to go back, no time to say we’ve done enough.”
Because the right to vote is too “precious and sacred” for us to let it be stripped away. Voting is fundamental to our democracy. It only works if everyone can make their voices heard at the ballot box.
I’m going to keep fighting to put a stop to the hundreds of voter suppression laws sweeping the country. I’m going to keep fighting to restore the Voting Rights Act and its critical protections. And I’m going to keep fighting to protect our elections against outside interference and partisan attacks.
I’m going to keep fighting, but I need to know you’re going to keep fighting, too. If you’re committed to protecting voting rights and the heart of our democracy, please add your name to our petition today. [[link removed]]
Thank you for amplifying our efforts,
Mikie
