Join us on November 8, 2021 at 12 P.M. EST for our annual event where we lift up the voices, experiences, and visions of labor rights defenders on the frontlines of the fight for decent work and social justice. To register for the event, please click here. Speakers will include U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor Julie Su along with women union leaders from around the world including Roza Agaydarova, founder of Adolat Sari Olg’a (Onward Toward Justice) from Uzbekistan, Allison Lee, the Secretary-General of Yilan Migrant Fishermen Union (YMFU) in Taiwan and Iris Munguia, Secretaria de la Mujer (Secretary of Women) at Federación Sindical Agrícola (Federation of Industrial Agriculture Unions) (FESTAGRO)in El Salvador. These powerful women labor leaders are creating innovative models to defend labor rights and build worker power in food processing, manufacturing, and agriculture. Their work shows how workers are organizing around the world even in sectors that have historically relied on forced labor with women’s leadership at the front!
