John — Here’s an update on where things stand in Georgia:

The good news: Raphael Warnock won his special election to fill one of Georgia’s Senate seats. It’s given us the slimmest possible majority in the Senate and we must hang onto it in 2022.

The bad news: Because this was a special election, Raphael is up for re-election again in a state that’s going to be particularly challenging for Democrats.

Our October fundraising deadline is quickly approaching, and we need to make sure we hit our goal so we don’t leave Democrats like Raphael vulnerable to the inevitable onslaught of Republican attacks.

Mitch McConnell and his right-wing mega donor network are prepared to drop as much money as it takes to flip this seat.

And on top of that, Republicans in Georgia recently passed a bill to severely limit voting rights, making it much harder for people of color, students, and underserved communities to have their voices heard.

What’s happening in Georgia is a disgrace, and we’re going to need to double down on our efforts to overcome these hurdles this time. So we’re asking:
