Friend,
In a moment, I'm going to ask you to chip in $3 to our grassroots campaign. But first, let me share some highlights from Saturday's rally for the striking workers at John Deere.

You may know this, but my dad worked at John Deere for over 40 years and was active in the union. When I spoke with him Saturday, he reminded me about the 1986 strike and why after 40 years, we're still here.
I was honored and humbled to speak after my mother at the rally. (Photo credit: Andy Milone, Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier)
After all those years he put in at the foundry, John Deere is making record profits and workers are fighting for crumbs. It's not just Deere either, it's about workers across the country realizing their power and demanding dignity and respect on the job -- and doing what it takes to get it.
My opponent has been noticeably absent. She was more than happy to stand on stage with Trump earlier this month, but hasn't stood with the striking workers -- preferring instead to pander on issues like immigration.
Workers deserve a governor who will stand with them through thick and thin, on the picket line and off. Not someone who would rather side with the ultra-wealthy and corporations. The choice is clear, but I need your help making sure we get the word out to more voters. That's why I'm asking:
We have a huge end-of-month deadline that hits Sunday. I need to raise $2,353 to stay on track for our goal. $3 from you would go a long way in helping close the gap. Thanks in advance for any amount you can give.
As always, thanks for reading.
