Dear Friend,

Our actions now determine the future of freedom, justice, and dignity for LGBTQ and HIV-positive asylum seekers.

Over the last few years, three trans women living with HIV and a Venezuelan man living with AIDS died while detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Too often in detention, trans and HIV-positive migrants are denied care, harassed, or assaulted.

We must do everything in our power to ensure these patterns of abuse end once and for all. Later this week, we will join Familia: Trans Queer Liberation Movement to support trans and HIV-positive migrants who continue to face abuse, cruelty, detention, and deportation at the hands of ICE.
