When I was first elected to the Senate in 2006, I was joined in Congress by a newly-elected congressman from Southern Minnesota named Tim Walz. 

I saw immediately that Tim never put politics above his values. He didn't shy away from hard fights and always tried to do the right thing – even when that meant taking tough votes. 

In our time together in Congress, we worked as partners to move our state and country forward and I'm proud of what we were able to accomplish.

Today that partnership looks a little different but it's just as strong. As our governor, Tim continues to take on the tough fights on behalf of all Minnesotans and provide the principled leadership we need during these challenging times.

Tim has always had my back and I'm proud to have his. That's why I'm reaching out today with an important request.

The deadline to become a Founding Donor of Governor Walz's re-election campaign is at 11:59 pm tomorrow and his team just let me know they're still more than 1,130 contributions short of their goal.
